Draft 2 Done

Just finished reading through the second draft of the CB that I printed out last night & was surprised & Delighted to find I don’t hate it!

Usually this is the stage at which I find it, writing in general, my life, the universe & everything totally pointless but though it’s far from ready I can see it can be made to ‘work’!!

I’m going to set up new folder & files ready for Draft 3 & take the rest of the day off!!!

  1. Hi David, yes I remember chatting with you and your writing and your wife Susan (Shaw?) but can’t recall where either. Did you write a column or a blog about drama? Thank you for getting in touch and for your information!

Congratulations on the production and publication of As Fair You Were!
Good to hear from you again–all the best for a smooth transition back to America. Must be a wrench to leave England after almost 5 years? Happy living, happy breathing & happy writing to you!

  2. Ovidia –

You may remember me from several years ago when we chatted back and forth on some site I’ve now forgotten. I also sent you a copy of my book, A Peasant of West Brattleboro. At that time I may have also written my play, As Fair As You Were. Well, it was finally produced last spring in Vermont and has just been published by New Theatre Publications a publisher with offices in both the UK and the US and which licenses production of their plays all around the world. You can find them at http://www.plays4theatre.com/index.htmf where all their plays are available for reading in PDF format.

    Thought you’d like to know.

Susan and I have been living in England for the past 4 1/2 years but are going home again in August. Once our household goods arrive we’ll be settling in Maryland, just north of Baltimore, for a year or two. After that, who knows?

    David
