To get outdoors & away from indoor things & thoughts for a bit, walked around the ‘Southern Ridges’ trail between Henderson Waves & Alexandra Arch for about 90 min (walking meditation in lieu of one practice session)–after doing sun salutions at home.
It’s wonderful there.

Fell off the WoYoPracMo but I have (fairly) good excuses this time.
1) Have been sitting in court in support of an old friend–can’t write more about that right now. Next week will be easier because a roster has been drawn up & we’ll take turns being there–funny how after more than 20 years of little [...]

And I’m still alive, though exhausted.
Why do I practise ‘harder’ in class than on my own? Is it group energy or just not wanting to wimp out?
Or am I more tired because of new stuff like breathing techniques?

Just back from the evening session & doing a blog post to unwind (also, must admit, with a yam bun & wasabi rice crackers…)

1. How easily John Scott puts his palms on the ground and unwinds into a verticle handstand. I wanna wanna wanna do that!!!

Day 1 Evening & Day 2 Morning
Day 1 evening session was incredible. JS went back to the foundations of our practice & I realised I haven’t been practising ‘yoga’ all along–just playing around with moves & breaths.
No, it isn’t enough to follow through with ‘inhale/exhale’ as I’ve been doing/trying to do.
