Okay. I believe…
It’s fine to detain prisoners on suspicion without trial.
Anyway as long as America does it, we can too–and if the suspicion is big enough and the object is made terrifying enough the trial will probably be never be necessary.
Our security systems are the best especially at our Onraet Road facility. Barbed wire topped [...]

From this morning’s Straits Times:
More than half of the 3, 2002 unwanted dogs the society took last year, or 1. 521 animals, were pure-breds… The increase comes as more owners import pedigrees from outside the country… The pedigree dogs the SPCA sees now are younger than before, with most being one to four years [...]

Woke with a very clear idea of what I was going to work on today… Easter piece/Mentor Feedback forms/Cafeteria piece… instead, since none of the above were urgent I filled up the tank, pumped up the tires & went to look at Ivy Singh-Lim’s Bollywood Veggies–and it was fantastic!
In my defence:
I’ve been meaning to [...]

The SPH reception waiting area still has some Chinese New Year decorations up, among them 2 enormous pots filled with stalks bearing bulbous orange globules… One of the ladies in reception told me they come from China; are available only around New Year; are called ‘Netty’ (sp?) and cost [...]

Missed dog walking this morning after missing/doing only partial practices for several days… so I can’t kid myself any more–things are falling apart.
Got call for photoshoot tomorrow morning. “Standard–just turn up we’ve got people to take care of everything” but still–last shoot the photographer sent me for a haircut (!) & Panadols (!!) so…
No, the [...]

Ashtangis get Saturdays off…
so I did 5 A’s, only 3B’s, full standing sequence… then took it easy through the seated sequence. But it was a good session. My left neck & shoulder were feeling a bit tight so I held some postures longer ‘Yin’ fashion and worked on alignment.
& I ‘m still trying to figure [...]

A good day today because…
I got in a good practice. Was focusing on my outward rotations in downward dog: arm creases forward/shoulders down/oh… is that how it feels when my lats engage? And without really trying to I found myself doing my first almost effortless float forward!!
I’ve managed to ‘jump through’ before, yes–when I’m focusing [...]

Save The Whales… signing this petition is just a start, of course– but it’s a start…
I was crabby… well, slightly peeved… for a couple of weeks leading up to & after Chinese New Year because I couldn’t find free range eggs at any of the Cold Storage supermarkets around here (tried The Village, Holland [...]

Moon Day today so I’m going easy on myself… will probably do an hour Yin later– &/or listen to a Richard Freeman lecture…
Yesterday’s practice: I re-read the earlier chapters of Yogeswar’s Textbook of Yoga before practice, to ‘ground’ myself. A lot I’ve forgotten from rushing to classes or to fit in 90 min… (’For practising [...]

Picked up a copy of Yoga Journal (Feb 200 & discovered that not only have I been doing my downward dogs wrong all these years… I’ve been standing/sitting/walking/cooking/driving all wrong too!
The problem is with how open my chest is & the effect that has on my shoulders.
Yes, I’ve been blessed/lucky enough to be back [...]
